I had 2 half days at work (God is so good) AND I was toddler-free for about 3 days this week. I love my girl dearly, but the time I had to myself was glorious. I was even able to catch up on some blogging. And some sleeping. And some Straw-Ber-Rita sipping.
Anyway, we’ve reached the end of another week. For those of you hanging on by a thread, you deserve a giant glass of wine. Because sharing is caring, I’ll take a sip or six as well.
Here are my 5 Fri-YAY faves for the week.
One of the books I’ve recently finished reading is The Art of Work: A Proven Path to Discovering What You Were Meant to Do by Jeff Goins. In the book, he also mentions the concept of pivoting. Even though you may be confined to a certain situation in your life, you still have the ability to change your direction. I think this is great advice no matter what stage of life we are in.
Self Care: Creating Mental Harmony with Natrol 5-HTP – Mommy Week
My general mood has improved a lot over the past several months. I started taking multivitamins again to give my body the boost it needs, but I’ve also been seeking additional options to get my overall health back on track. Ashley over at Mommy Week shared her review of the Natrol 5-HTP supplement & how they have helped regulate her moods (in addition to other healthy habits). I will be giving these a try so stay tuned for a product review in the future.
What Happens When You Speak Words Of Affirmation – Kenya Rae
I used to think affirmations were cheesy. But as I see more and more people attest to the power of affirmations, I’m tempted to begin trying it. A little more positivity in my day couldn’t hurt. And we all know that what comes from our mouths have great power. Now, I just need to figure out the best affirmation for me.
Personal Transformation For Black Women – Happy Black Woman
“You are THE gift.” – Debrena Jackson
My faith needs some repair, and this podcast definitely tightened up a few things for me. Debrena’s realizations are so powerful that light bulbs continued to go off in my mind. Listen to this episode & you’ll understand how mind blowing her words are.
I’ve been meaning to change my desktop wallpaper for a while now & figure I could use something motivational to keep me hustling. Brit+Co has curated a list of awesome desktop wallpapers that you can download for FREE.99. I can dig it.
