As I get older & gain more experiences, I learn to assess the things, people, etc. that I currently have in my life in order to determine if they continue to fit.
The questions that run through my head are:
Does it add value to my life?
Does it make me happy?
Does it help me to achieve your goals?
Do you get what you need, whatever that is?
Baby D is growing up much faster than I would like her to. Every day, she is showing me something new – whether it’s crossing her arms or singing to Andra Day’s “Rise Up”. Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that she is now trying to climb EV-ER-Y-THING.
I had 2 half days at work (God is so good) AND I was toddler-free for about 3 days this week. I love my girl dearly, but the time I had to myself was glorious. I was even able to catch up on some blogging. And some sleeping. And some Straw-Ber-Rita sipping.
Anyway, we’ve reached the end of another week. For those of you hanging on by a thread, you deserve a giant glass of wine. Because sharing is caring, I’ll take a sip or six as well.
Here are my 5 Fri-YAY faves for the week.
Valentine’s Day is generally looked upon as a day where couples celebrate their love and affection for one another. It’s a day in which romantic gifts are exchanged and people across the world stealthily devise well thought out date nights to show their significant other just how much they mean to them. It’s also a day that happens to be celebrated at what you might consider a peculiar time on the calendar.
First of all, shoutout to all the busy women getting shit done & making no excuses. I aspire to be like you one day.
In the meantime, I’ve been 100% unmotivated (or demotivated? 🤷🏾♀️). There’s just something about working 9 hour shifts & coming home to a tornado of a toddler who is a night owl & doesn’t fall asleep until after 10 that really drains what little energy & motivation you have.
To say the least, the struggle has been real this week.
Anyway, here are this week’s 5 Fri-YAY faves. Enjoy.
